In an unprecedented intervention into the laws of nature, federal agencies have hatched a plan to remove 50,000 sea turtle eggs from their nests in the Gulf Coast and move the eggs to the Atlantic Coast.
If the eggs are not moved, the baby turtles would end up wading right into BP’s oilspill in the Gulf of Mexico after hatching in mid-July.
