Sunday Travel Times - Tourism 2023, The Noble One…

Tourism 2023Tourism 2023, a sustainable tourism initiative by UK-based major travel companies and environmental organizations, was launched at the ABTA Travel Convention in Barcelona on Oct 8, 2009.

The signatories have pledged to collaborate to create a commercially sustainable tourism industry by the year 2023 which benefits communities in tourist destinations and protects the environment.  

Founding participants of Tourism 2023 (see report) include ABTA, Advantage Travel Centres, British Airways, Carnival UK, Sunvil, The Co-operative Travel, The Travel Foundation, Thomas Cook and TUI Travel.

    Communities in tourist destinations will make the future of tourism brighter and when there is a step of environment protection it’s truly great.
