Disney’s fairy tales some times do turn out to be true, as Paul and Karen Campanale, a couple from Worcester, Mass., discovered at the Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Lake Buena Vista, FL. Full story from Scott Powers, Orlando Sentinel.

It had been a wonderful vacation at Walt Disney World — until Paul Campanale accidentally threw away his wife’s three platinum and diamond rings. But into every nine-year marriage, a little magic must fall: Beating what the Campanales had been told were the all-but-impossible odds of finding the three rings required one lucky break and eight Disney workers in protective gear pawing through a trash pile bag by bag. “We were on our way to the airport when my husband had gotten the phone call saying they were recovered,” Karen Campanale said. Story has possibilities to be turned into a Disney film…For the record, the resort offers a concierge desk, health club, babysitting and child services, ‘Pak-n-Play’ cribs, both self and valet parking, and laundry facilities. The 136 guest rooms spread across five floors each come with a balcony or patio with views of the courtyard, the resort grounds or the Bay Lake and pool area. Each of these spacious rooms and suites are designed to accomodate from four to six guests.

Inspite of a decor with hand-crafted artworks which exude a rustic feel, the rooms are extremely luxurious, comfortable and packed to the gills with the latest amenities including hairdryers, high speed internet, coffee makers, in room safes, Disney Channel and ESPN. Room rates start at $215 for a standard view room and on upto $885 for a Presidential suite. Even without the Disney brand, this would be one of the most kid-friendly hotels in Orlando, FL. With the brand, its simply the best.
